The students cut out and assembled a leprechaun falling into a pot of gold using paper, with their limericks carefully typed up and glued to the pot. This project allowed them to creatively showcase their understanding of limericks while adding a fun, artistic twist to their work. The final result was a colourful display of their creativity, humor, and poetic skills!
This week, students worked on the My Lucky Charms project, where they brainstormed the important people or pets in their lives who make them feel lucky. They wrote these names on eight charm templates, coloured them, and glued them onto a jar template. To extend their learning, students wrote a paragraph about three of their lucky charms, explaining who they are and why they’re important. This project encouraged personal reflection, gratitude, and gave students the opportunity to practice their writing and art skills.
This week, students participated in an exciting in-school field trip with Teacher’s Pet, exploring the science of forces and simple machines! Over two hours, they became engineers, testing and experimenting with levers, wheels and axles, inclined planes, pulleys, wedges, and screws. Through hands-on activities, they discovered how these machines make work easier and even designed their own creations using one or more simple machines. It was a fantastic way to bring the science curriculum to life and spark curiosity about how machines help us in everyday life!
A big thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers for their time and support—we couldn’t have done it without you!
Congratulations to our 3A friends who flew to the next country by reading 500 minutes in our Amazing Race home reading program. Well done 3A readers!
We celelbrated the birthdays of two 3A friends in the past two weeks.
