The students explored coding with Minecraft Hour of Code: Designer with Mr. Maltais. They used block-based coding to create mini-games, programming actions like spawning animals and setting rules. The students enjoyed this hands-on activity and discovering how coding works!
The students created their own 3D Christmas trees for their desks, carefully folding, cutting, and decorating to make them unique. They added personal touches like pom-poms, stickers, pipe cleaners, and finished them off with stars to make their trees festive. The students had a great time working on their projects and were proud of their creations!
Our class presented The Spirit of Christmas poem during the assembly on Friday. They shared the message that the spirit of the season is about more than just giving gifts.
On the last day before Christmas break, we enjoyed a warm and cozy day in our pajamas. In the afternoon, the students watched a movie in the gym and then had fun playing a few games in our classroom. We also enjoyed delicious gingerbread cookies made by Mrs. Goulding!
Congratulations to our 3A friends who flew to the next country by reading 500 minutes in our Amazing Race home reading program. Well done 3A readers!
