WHOLE SCHOOL
Dear GJS Community Members:
The coming two weeks bring many activities, recognitions, celebrations, and, of course, graduations as we enter the remaining 10 days of the 2023-2024 school year. We look forward to welcoming our community members onto campus, participating in and celebrating with our students and faculty during these special events.
Our combined efforts always make this time of year so very special. In advance of the launch of these coming events, A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR STUDENTS, FACULTY, STAFF AND PARENTS for their dedication, time, energy, donations, organizational wizardry, troubleshooting expertise and passion as we work to bring our year to a close in style.
Warm Regards,
Cory Carson, Head of School
Football Pitch & Running Track Update #3: Significant progress has been made as of today. By the time you receive our next update in July, construction will have been completed, the track surface will have been laid, and we will be waiting patiently for the pitch grass to grow to maturity for use.
Monday, June 3rd is our final PL half-day this year. Please note all K - Year 11 students will be dismissed at 12 noon.
PRIMARY SCHOOL
Dear Primary Parents,
Thank you to all our parents who supported us with your cheers and presence during the Primary Sports Day. It was wonderful to see you all. As we approach the final two weeks of school, our commitment to learning and celebrating remains strong. Next week, we will engage in the Jump Up time exercise, which allows students time to help transition to their next year's grade level. In addition, while our Early Years look forward to marching into the Primary Years, our Year 6 students also prepare for their final few days in the Primary School and onwards to Secondary School.
The Summer Reading Program will shared next week. It is an exciting initiative that aims to foster a love for reading and prevent the infamous "summer slide" in literacy skills over the long break from school.
Kind Regards,
Lavesa Devnani, Primary Principal
Our Year 6 students are excited to present their sustainability-themed workshops on June 4 and 6. We look forward to your support and participation.

SECONDARY SCHOOL
Dear Global Jaya Secondary Community,
As we approach the end of the school year, I want to give you advance notice that we are preparing a Summer Reading List to share with our secondary community. The list will provide students with suggested reading materials and websites to access throughout the summer as a way to help prevent the summer slide. While we certainly encourage our students to relax and enjoy the summer, we also encourage our students to spend time reading. Instead of staring at a device, we would like our students to enjoy a book or engage in physical activities to improve their endurance and fitness levels. Once the list is finalized, we will share it through Managebac and Global Insights. Please encourage your children to take advantage of the suggested reading materials and activities this summer, and please be on the lookout for this upcoming list to be shared with you.
Sincerely,
Dr. Howard Menand, Secondary Principal

TSAN 2024 Teacher’s Performances
Teachers and Staff Appreciation Night 2024 is just right around the corner. The night full of gratitude specifically designed by the Parent Association with teachers and staff solely in mind will take place on Friday, June 7th, 2024. Numerous performances have been selected for our guests of honour of the night: the teachers and staff!
However, this night would not be meaningful without performances by the teachers. Therefore, we are extremely hopeful and kindly ask teachers from all year levels and each Arts, Math, Science and Language department to join us by signing up for Teacher’s Singing Battle and Dance-Off. Winners will earn some amazing prizes and ‘cool’ points, too!
To join, please click the Teachers Form link or scan the QR code.
CELEBRATIONS
Dear Community Members, we will be sharing with you, in this space, our students' success stories that are taking place outside of our campus. Please send any story to Ibu Sandra (HoS Admin Assistant) (sandra@globaljaya.com) by Thursday each week so we can share your child's accomplishment with our wider Global Jaya community
