Dear Primary Parents,
This week, we held our first round of the Primary Reading Competition. Our students dove into books with excitement and showed their love for reading and thirst for knowledge. As the long weekend approaches, we hope you have a restful break. We have had several students away due to sickness, and we hope that they are recovering well.

SECONDARY SCHOOL
Dear Global Jaya Secondary Community,
The week of April 1 to 5 is an important week for our Global Jaya community because it is Senior Week. Our seniors are currently working out the final details of their plans for the week, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunity enjoy our last few official school days with this group of individuals. After Senior Week, our year 12 students take time for study leave and then begin their DP exams on April 19. While our year 12 students still have a few more steps to take before they finish their Global Jaya journey, I wish them the best of luck with upcoming exams and hope they enjoy Senior Week.

We are thrilled to announce that for Year 10 students we are introducing the first IB MYP eAssessments on May 9th with the commencement of the exam in mathematics. Also, all Year 10 product design students will submit an ePortfolio as part of the eAssessment process. The eAssessment is a standardized onscreen exam administered to Year 10 MYP students in IB schools around the world, and the exam is the culminating experience for MYP students. For Global Jaya, these initial assessments will be the starting point for a long-term plan to introduce eAssessments in all MYP subjects.

Global Jaya Parent Association is pleased to present our GLOBAL JAYA GIVES BACK program during this year's celebration of Ramadhan Mubarak. An initiative designed specially to invite and gather all Global Jaya School communities to join hands and give back to those you have been one of the biggest supporters in our communities.
This year, the Parent Association has arranged Paket Sembako (grocery packages) for our Global Jaya School neighborhood, local communities, and our very own Global Jaya School support staff. The price of one package of Paket Sembako is Rp. 125.000, - and each package contains a 5kg bag of Rice, 1 liter of Cooking Oil, 1 pack of Tea, 60 ml of Sweet Soy Sauce, and a 390-gram bag of Sugar, the price stated also includes a box for packing and delivery fee. The pre-order for Paket Sembako will open until March 28th and the packages will be handed out on April 3rd, 2024.
The Parent Association also offers a Ramadhan Donation for our support staff, such as janitors, gardeners, and securities in the form of cash donations. The donation runs from February 28th to March 28th, 2024, and will be given to the 92 dedicated support staff on April 3rd, 2024.
