PRIMARY SCHOOL
Dear Primary Parents,
Next week, our students in Years 2-6 will take the IReady Diagnostic test. In order to prepare them for the upcoming test, we ask parents to please encourage them to:
Get a good night’s sleep and eat breakfast on the day of the assessment.
Try their best on each question and try not to rush. It’s not a speed test.
Try not to worry about questions they do not know—remind them that they are expected to get about half of the questions correct.
Use paper and a pencil for math questions.
Reinforce That It's Not a Pass/Fail Test: Remind parents to communicate to their child that the iReady test is an assessment to help identify areas of strength and areas that may need improvement. It's not about passing or failing.
Celebrate Effort: Encourage parents to celebrate their child's effort and hard work, regardless of the test results. Positive reinforcement can boost their child's confidence.
With just three weeks remaining until the end of the school year, we are excited to celebrate our students' numerous achievements through various events such as assemblies, year-level celebrations, class parties and others. To ensure everyone's well-being, we encourage all students and staff to stay healthy and take any necessary precautions.
Kind Regards,
Lavesa Devnani, Primary Principal

SECONDARY SCHOOL
Dear Global Jaya Secondary Community,
On May 27, secondary students in year 7 to 10 will begin the iReady tests. Students take the iReady test in reading and math, and the results help our teachers ensure we are providing the support and enrichment to our students that best fits each child's individual needs. And parents, we need your help. Please remind your children to put forth their best effort on the tests so that the results most accurately depict each student's strengths and weaknesses. We also need your help to ensure your students are in school each day so to help us reach our target of 100% test completion by all students. Finally, at the end of this school year, we will share the iReady results with all families through Managebac, so please be ready to review the iReady results with your children once the tests are completed.
Sincerely,
Dr. Howard Menand, Secondary Principal
