Dear GJS Community Members:
Today marks the last instructional day on campus for our Seniors. Angkatan 2024, we will miss you! You are a kind, generous, welcoming, forgiving, and supportive group who are also known to be motivated, competitive, and ambitious. I speak on behalf of our entire community when I say we wish you ABSOLUTE SUCCESS on your upcoming Diploma Exams. Focus, study hard, and fully apply yourself. While the end is in sight, it is not here...not yet. We will miss your spirit on campus, but we know you are preparing for the last challenge to be faced before our graduation celebration.
We look forward to the coming break, where family and celebrations once again become our collective focus. To all our Muslim community members who will be celebrating in the coming days, after fasting for a month, may Allah give you blessings and accept all your good deeds. Eid Mubarak 2024!
Upon return to classes on April 17th, we have a sprint to the end of the year. April, May, and June are loaded with activities and engagements, academic activities, athletics, celebrations, trips, service, and, of course, who could forget awards ceremonies and graduations! Please be sure to double-check upcoming issues of Global Insights and Kontak to stay updated on all upcoming event and activity details.
Eid Mubarak!

PRIMARY SCHOOL
Dear Primary Parents,
As we approach the upcoming holidays celebrating the joyous occasion of Idul Fitri, I extend my warmest wishes to all our Muslim community members who are celebrating a blessed and fulfilling celebration. May all your prayers be answered. For all of us, this upcoming break offers us a precious opportunity to reconnect with our loved ones, rejuvenate our spirits, and reflect on the many blessings in our lives. May this time be filled with moments of joy, peace, and unity among families and friends. We encourage everyone to be safe and healthy during this time, especially our very young students.
I am delighted to share that despite the ongoing renovation of our soccer pitch, we have taken measures to ensure that our students can continue to enjoy sports-related activities during lunchtime. While the main field is temporarily unavailable, we have reallocated the small field near the Multipurpose Outdoor Court (MPOC) for soccer. This change has required our Year 3-6 students to relocate their soccer-related activities to the small pitch behind the MPOC.
Upon our return to school on April 17, we will engage in many whole school activities and celebrate festivities, such as Kartini Day and the Idul Fitri celebrations.
Eid Mubarak to you all!
Kind Regards,
Lavesa Devnani, Primary Principal
The second round of our reading competition is on April 25, 2024.

SECONDARY SCHOOL
Dear Global Jaya Secondary Community,
This week marks the last time our students from the class of 2024 will be on campus as regular students. They enjoyed their opportunity for senior week, and now they take time to study and revise in preparation for their DP exams. We know that they have been well prepared for the exams by their teachers and that the students themselves have spent a significant amount of time studying for the exams. As such, on behalf of the Global Jaya faculty and staff we wish our year 12 students all the best on their exams.
Also, as we approach the end of Ramadan, I'd like to wish our Muslim community a happy Idul Fitri. Hopefully, this is an opportunity for you to enjoy time with family and loved ones.
Finally, please enjoy the upcoming April break, and I look forward to catching up with our students when school resumes on April 17.
Sincerely,
Dr. Howard Menand, Secondary Principal
