Have a wonderful summer!
We Will Miss You!
Thank you parents for a wonderful PreK year! We hope you all have the best summer!
Don't forget to have your child continue to work on their letters, letter sounds, pre- reading skills, writing and have some number fun this summer!
Literacy
This week we will focus on:
Alliteration is the repetition of the beginning sound in two or more neighboring words.
Sentences begin with an uppercase letter and end with a punctuation mark.
Each letter of the alphabet has a unique name, sound, and shape.
Understanding how to compare and contrast is an important comprehension strategy.
Math
This week we will focus on:
Information can be collected through a survey - asking many people the same question.
EInformation can be represented with number and symbols on a graph.
Information on graphs can help answer questions, such as How many more?
Thematic
This week we will focus on:
Change takes place all around us.
Everyone experiences change.
Some changes are hardly noticed and others can take some adjustment.
Each birthday celebrates another year of growth and change.

Your child needs the following items sent in their backpack, every day:
*a change of clothes in a ziploc bag
*a water bottle that they can manage without spilling
* label water bottle, backpack and lunchbox
*2 healthy snack items (no items that require utensils, please)
*Please send one water/drink for lunch to stay in the lunchbox and another water bottle for snack
Dismissal Reminder:
If you find your child must go home a different way than planned, please notify the office by a phone call by at least 2:00 p.m. Teachers and our front office staff do not always have access to email or are busy teaching or helping others. A phone call is required. Sometimes we have only one person in the front office, so we want to provide ample time to be able to meet your needs.
