January 1st, 2024 Week #18
Opposites
Students will continue to learn the concept of "opposites" as we read winter themed books. We will review vocabulary words from this unit of study. Students will apply their knowledge of "characters", "setting", "problem", and "solution" to the understanding of texts.

Daily Folders
Each school day, your child brings home their Daily Folder. Please make sure you are signing the GREAT Chart nightly and returning it to school on the following day. Your support and communication is very much appreciated. Thank you!
Please remember ...
Your child needs the following items sent in their backpack, every day:
*a change of clothes in a ziploc bag
*a water bottle that they can manage without spilling
* label water bottle, backpack and lunchbox
*2 healthy snack items (no items that require utensils, please)
*Please send one water/drink for lunch to stay in the lunchbox and another water bottle for snack
Dismissal Reminder:
If you find your child must go home a different way than planned, please notify the office by a phone call by at least 2:00 p.m. Teachers and our front office staff do not always have access to email or are busy teaching or helping others. A phone call is required. Sometimes we have only one person in the front office, so we want to provide ample time to be able to meet your needs.
