Thank you for your continued efforts to have your children wear their masks properly each day. I worried that our students might have trouble wearing and keeping their masks on, but they do a GREAT job!
It's been a busy few weeks of school, it's hard to believe it's only the beginning of September. We are all settling into the routines of school, and I'll say it again, it feels so good to be back on campus with everyone.
As we continue to be cautious and practice safe habits, we remind students regularly throughout the day to sanitize their hands. We remind students when not actively eating to put and keep their masks on. We disinfect classrooms daily along with the bathrooms and lunch areas.
Thank you for your continued practice of administering the self checker at home each morning. Any student who answers "Yes" to any of the questions should stay home. Teachers understand that students may need to miss school more this year than in years past to be cautious. We will work with your child to catch them up if they are having trouble with any concepts they missed or just need some extra practice.
In case you missed it, Mr. Galindo (Computer Lab Specialist) will not be with us this year, he is taking a year of leave to take care of his health needs. We are currently looking for a teacher, but will do our best to have a substitute until that time comes. If you know anyone who is credentialed to teach Computers, please send them my information: jcho@fusdk12.net.
I am happy to introduce our new Librarian, Mrs. Sayd. She has started welcoming classes back to the library and we are all so happy to be reading new books each day! Our records indicate that some students still have some outstanding books or Chromebooks. If you could please look around your home and bring them in so that we can clear the debt from the student account. Overdue notices will be sent in the next week.

Thank you so much to one of our Parkmont Families for donating touchless hand sanitizers to every classroom on campus! Mrs. Kelly Rose and family, your generous donation is much appreciated! If anyone is interested in helping supply us with refills, we will gladly accept your donation of Amazon gift cards or directly shipping refills to our school. Unfortunately, our warehouse does not supply refills and the containers are not refillable. Here is the link to purchase refills from Amazon. Thank you all for your support!
You can find all of the different after school programs being offered on the Parkmont Website under the button "Peachjar" at the bottom of the page. You can also sign up for email alerts to keep you informed.
We are excited to be partnering with the City of Fremont, Youth and Family Services Counseling Department. This year, we will have a counselor intern on campus supporting our students on Tuesdays/Fridays each week. Please see an introduction letter from her and some information about a parenting workshop attached to this newsletter email.
Join us for our 1st PTA meeting on Tuesday, 9/21 at 7:00 p.m. Meetings will be held virtually until further notice. Please find the ZOOM link here. Everyone is welcome, we hope to see you there!

Mon/Tues/Thurs/Friday we have supervision for students in grades 1-3 waiting for their older siblings between 2:35-2:50 on the 1st/2nd grade playground. Students are allowed to play until the 2:50 bell rings and then meet up with their older sibling. This is ONLY for students with older siblings that get out of school at 2:50.
On Wednesdays/Early Days we have supervision for 4-6th grade students on the 3rd/4th playground for students who are waiting for their YOUNGER sibling to get out at 1:33. Please discuss this with your child if you give them permission. Otherwise all students should wait at the agreed upon meeting place at the end of each school day.
