As we look ahead to Spring Break, I am excited for the warmer weather and sunny days. I hope you are all able to find some time to unplug and unwind. Many of you may be wondering about the decisions around returning to school. We are making preparations to safely welcome students and staff back when the date has been decided. I encourage you to visit the District website for updates and of course as soon as I have any information to report I will communicate with our community as soon as possible. I am eager to welcome students and staff back to Parkmont!

2020-2021 Yearbooks are available for purchase online for $25. Place your order before March 28, 2021 to guarantee your copy. Quantity is limited and there are no guarantees there will be any extras.

Yearbooks are scheduled to arrive in June, and more information regarding pick-up will be sent at a later time.

This year all enrollment (proof of address) for next school year will be done online. You should have received an email on 2/5/21 from "noreply@fusdk12.net" asking you to create your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This is a necessary step in order to proceed with securing your child's spot for next year. In this email, you received a unique activation code needed to set up your account. We are glad to partner with the City of Fremont for the fourth annual Children Mental Health Awareness Art Competition and Exhibition, to celebrate National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day which falls on Thursday, May 6th 2021. Our virtual student art contest theme for this year is “Coming Together with Hope.”

Attached please find two flyers(attached to this email). One is for elementary school age students from K- 5th grade; and the other one is for students from 6th – 12th grade. Students living in Fremont or attending FUSD schools are encouraged to submit art, photographs, poetry, and digital work including spoken word performance, podcasts and short films. Submissions for all entries should be photographed and emailed to yfs@fremont.gov on or before 12:00 pm on Sunday, April 4th 2021. Winners will be announced on May 6th 2021 and an virtual art exhibition event will be held in May. More information is also available at the YFS website https://www.fremont.gov/2275/Events.

I wanted to share with you all a great Family Cycling Workshop with Bike East Bay. These workshops are led by a certified instructor. Using games and other skill building activities, you will learn how to safely navigate bicycling in and around your neighborhood.

FUSD 'Grab and Go' Meals are distributed 3 days a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Child Nutrition Services will still be serving 7 days worth of meals; Mondays and Wednesdays will each be serving two days worth of breakfast and lunch meals, and Fridays we will be serving three days worth of breakfast and lunch meals.

New Distribution Times:

• All High Schools, Walters Middle School, Leitch Elementary and Cabrillo Elementary will serve from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

• All other FUSD 'Grab and Go' meal sites will serve from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

• Morning pick up times will stay the same: All High Schools and Walters Middle School will serve 7:30am to 8:00am.

We send communications weekly to keep you up to date.
