I bet you vividly remember this day last year. This was the day that we sent our students home with their books and went into lockdown with plans to return to school after Spring Break once Covid 19 had gotten under control. Instead, here we are at the one year mark and our students are still not back on campus. But, even though we have been in distance learning that doesn't mean the kids are not learning, and learning at high levels! I've said it multiple times, our teachers and students have been doing amazing work! I do believe we are making steps in the right direction! This week we started Learning Hubs with just a small pod of students. The purpose of the Learning Hub is to provide a space for students with consistent internet connection, fewer distractions and offer some additional support if needed. I have to tell you how exciting it was to have students back on campus! It is just a short amount of time, two days a week, but those two days have been my favorite!
We are preparing for the safe return of staff and students in the future. We are planning new safety protocols, classroom set up and more. When students return we will be ready!
Don't forget to spring forward this Sunday morning! The time change always makes for an extra rough Monday morning, but the longer days make it all worth it.
Enjoy your weekend!
Ms. Cho

A former Parkmont student is working with FUSS to gather data on Social Media's influence on youth especially during the pandemic. If you could please help answer the survey questions and pass on to your high school students that would be helpful.
