Principal's Message

It has been a busy first week back to school. We appreciate the number of families who picked up their rapid Covid test over the break and kept students home who tested positive and/or had symptoms related to Covid. Thankfully, we are hearing that many of our students are asymptomatic. We thank you for your patience while the district Covid liaisons work hard to contact all families to communicate return dates and with the rapidly changing information we receive. It is always our goal to get students back in class in the safest manner possible.

Next week, teachers will be sending home Progress Reports for students who are not meeting grade level standards. All meetings, if requested will be held online via zoom.

You may have heard at the Board Meeting on Wednesday that Lila Bringhurst Elementary was approved to open in the 2022-2023 school year. Some of you may remember that I was appointed a few years back to move to Lila Bringhurst when it was planned to be open, and ended up not opening. This means that I will be moving to Lila Bringhurst next school year. It is an exciting opportunity to open a new school, but I would be lying if I said I'm not sad to leave all of the staff, students and families here at Parkmont.

Continue to take care of yourselves and stay safe.

Ms. Cho

Principal
