Jobs in stock photography focus on taking a photograph of a common image that other people might want to use. Usually one that is at least partially self-explanatory in the content it shows. Many stock photographers work independently and manage a digital portfolio of content with one or more stock photography sellers.
There is a growing need for stock photographers, and the bureau of labor predicts that the need will increase by 17% in the next two years.
There are no formal education requirements for becoming a stock photographer. It is often encouraged that students study or major in photography.
