Lafayette's Interactive Design pathway prepares students to communicate dramatic information, ideas, moods, and feelings through the making and producing of characters, animations, videos, and cinematographic expression. This pathway has a dual focus on both animation and film. The animation portion includes character design, modeling, frame-by-frame animation, editing techniques, special effects/VFX techniques, and historical studies. The film portion includes the theory of video, video technology, and equipment operation, video production, video directing, and video editing.
This pathway concentrates on teaching students the digital skills needed in these careers through mastery of Adobe programs such as Animate, After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop.
