A script supervisor is a member of the film crew who is in charge of keeping continuity within a film shoot. This can be keeping track of things like props or set dressings to keeping track of an individual performer’s wardrobe and makeup. They also make sure that all scripts are current and up to date, ensuring that the audio and film are matching and preparing daily reports regarding filming progress.
There is a demand growing for Script Supervisors as there is a growing amount of production of television and movies. There is an expected demand increase of 10% from 2018 to 2028.

A Script Supervisor must be very detail oriented with exceptional organization and communication skills. This is because the information they provide is crucial to the success of the final cut. They should also have a solid understanding of filmmaking, including shot composition, blocking, lighting and editing techniques.
