The Netherlands is a great example of a country with highly developed cycling infrastructure. It incorporates a nationwide net of cycling paths, public transport bikes, traffic lights and special big slanted rubbish bins that are easy to use for cyclists. One thing that the Netherlands doesn't have is advanced stop lines. They allow bike users a head-start when the light changes from red to green and are especially useful in the city centre, where bikes are much more agile and accelerate faster than cars.
