Basic Materials and Homework

For daily use, students are expected to bring to school a general notebook, pen, pencil, ruler, eraser, scissors and glue (eg PritStick). Pupils may also need A4 hard-backed ring files or folders for the storage of loose papers. Teachers will advise on what is needed.

Students in S1-S5 will be given exercise books colour-coded for each subject. The are expected to use these appropriately and with respect. Some subjects use textbooks in S1-S5.

For Mathematics, all students require a calculator in accordance with what is needed for the mathematics syllabuses

All parents of S6 and S7 are asked to buy the textbooks used by their children at school.  Booklists will be made available on the school website:

Homework is set in each subject, in S1-S3 students are expected to complete short tasks once a week; in S4-5 the amount will increase to inlcude larger projects. In S6 and S7 students are expected to work indepently in free lessons at school and at home.

All teachers use Google Classroom to record homework assignments and many also upload material from lessons (especially in S4/5 and S6/7). Students are expected to monitor and organise their work using the Google Classroom calendar. We encourage parents to support students in S1-S3 with homework, but are not able to give parents access to Google Classroom.
