Behaviour Agreement
Europa School UK - Secondary Behaviour Agreement 2022-2023
All secondary students are asked to sign the behaviour agreement:
The Europa School is a community and the Secondary Behaviour Agreement aims to safeguard the rights of all students, individually and collectively, in order to ensure that the school is a place of learning and personal development for each student, that prepares them for membership of a democratic society.
RIGHTS: all students at Europa School:
Have the right to learn
Have the right to feel safe
Have the right to respect and fair treatment
RESPONSIBILITIES: all students at Europa School are expected to:
Arrive to class on time, with the correct materials and dressed appropriately
Be prepared to be engaged and involved in learning
Be prepared to cooperate with others in a respectful manner
Seek assistance from the teacher/members of staff as necessary and with a responsible attitude
Respect the school environment
RULES: all students are expected to follow the school rules:
Take care of school property
Respect others’ right to learn by not disrupting lessons
Respect others and do not participate in intimidation or bullying
Respect the school dress code
Only use mobile phones when this is permitted - earbuds/phones are banned
Do not bring dangerous or illegal items into school
Remain within permitted areas of the school grounds
CONSEQUENCES: failure to follow the school rules or to respect the rights of others may result in either negotiated or non-negotiable consequences. These include:
Being asked to leave the lesson (parked)
Being sent home if inappropriately dressed
Completing work under supervision if this is not completed in class or for homework
Community Service e.g. litter picking if showing disrespect for school property and/or paying for damage to school property
Put on ‘report’ and behaviour in lessons and around school monitored
Confiscation of mobile phone if being used when not permitted; after 3 times it is confiscation for the rest of term
Warning and/or sanction by the Principal/Deputy Heads with or without threat of suspension
Temporary internal or external suspension from the School by the Principal, for a maximum of three working days
