Week 5

Learning Intention:

Students will aim to create a fantasy city using Minecraft or create a fantasy city drawing. They can choose which medium they would like to use to create the composition.

Students are aware in art that there is to be no use of violent or inappropriate images used in a composition.

Students will need to think about, how they would like their fantasy city to look and if they lived in it, how that would look, sound and feel.

Making and creating steps.

- Sketch a fantasy city in your art sketch book, to get an understanding of how the design will work in Minecraft or paper. Make it a quick sketch to get your ideas onto paper. This is called a ‘working’ drawing.

- Think about, scale, shape, texture, pattern, colour and form.

- Start designing your city in Minecraft or in a drawing.

- Use colour in the drawing. Pencils, paint, pastel, any medium that suits you.

You will have more time to work on this task next week in Art

Success Criteria:

I can create a fantasy city using the medium of Minecraft or on paper.
