Learning Intention:

Students will aim to create a painting or drawing of a Sea Turtle.

Students can investigate prior, the day in the life of a Sea Turtle.

Investigate questions like…

- How big do Sea Turtles get?

- How long do Sea Turtles live for?

- When do Sea Turtles nest?

- How long can Sea Turtles hold their breath?

- Research five interesting facts.

Making and creating steps

- Practise drawing a Sea Turtle using a grey lead.

- Using a grey lead pencil draw the outline and shapes of the turtle.

- Using water colour, diluted paint, pencils or Texta fill your Sea Turtle with beautiful, warm and cool colours.

- Make sure you add a background. Your Sea Turtle could be on land or in the ocean.

Success Criteria:

I can draw a Sea Turtle.

I can paint a Sea Turtle.
