Learning Intention:
Students will aim to create a collage of a Peacock.
The background paper can be any colour you have.
You may also use magazines or newspaper for this.
Investigate five fun facts about Peacocks.
- Are males only Peacocks?
- Are they born with fancy feathers? Etc…….
Making and creating steps.
- You can use magazines, newspaper and coloured paper to create this collage Peacock.
- First cut out the shape of the Peacock body and glue it on the page. Make sure you leave space for the legs and feathers.
- Cut out the shapes for eyes, legs and a beak and glue them on.
- Cut out at least 30 shapes which will then become the feathers. Cut small, medium and large shapes for the feathers.
Success Criteria:
I can create a collage.
I can draw a Peacock.
Materials
Paper for background
magazines, coloured paper, newspapers or whatever you like to create the collage
scissors
glue stick
