Learning Intention:
Students will aim to create a background showing the weather of their favourite season.
They will create movement as they draw a picture of themselves in a hot air balloon and glue this onto the background.
Success Criteria:
I can: create a background
I can: show movement in my art work.
Materials
· Paper
· Pastels, coloured pencils, magazine pictures or any materials you would like to use for your background
· Scissors
· Glue sticks
Making and Creating steps
· Think about your favourite type of sky – is it cloudy, raining, snowing, sunny?
· Using your choice of materials, create a background of your favourite sky
· On a separate piece of paper, draw a hot air balloon with you in the basket section of the balloon.
· Add patterns and lines to your hot air balloon using textas, small pieces of coloured paper or whatever materials you would like to use.
· Cut the balloon out and glue to your background so that you are floating through the sky.
