Welcome!
Welcome!
Acknowledgement of Country
I would like to acknowledge and show our respect to the traditional custodians of the land that we create on, the Awabakal people. Let us pay our respects to the elders past, present, and emerging, as they hold the culture, tradition, and hopes of Indigenous Australia.
We must always remember that under the asphalt and concrete this land is, was, and always will be Aboriginal land.

Welcome one and all to Term 2, 2025. This term will be a busy one as exhibitions are in Week 8. Please do your best to plan and schedule your weeks moving forward as to not run out of time or to have late submissions. Above all, remember this school is a safe space that will support your individual learning so feel free to go to the Learning Support Team, your Advisor, Quinn or Phelissitie, or even myself with any issues.
Enjoy this term!
+ Thanks Kenny for your Banner Artwork!

Get your Project Proposal and Learning Plan done as early as possible and put as much detail into it.
Make a term, weekly and daily planner. Use the resources available to you. Such as the 'Term on a Page' document created by Margot (thanks Margot!!)
Identify the parts of your project you will find most challenging and ask for help.
Break down large overwhelming tasks into smaller more achievable tasks.
Don't procrastinate!
Eliminate all distractions during advisory time, whether that be on your desk or talking with your friends. Make sure all your focus is on your work. Do take brain breaks though!

Social Action Project Group (SAPG) Spotlight
The STEM SAPG is a group that focuses on coding projects, including robotics, rendering, and 3D printing. This term they have acquired some new gear to learn with, including some Raspberry Pis, which is like a very small computer that is good for practising coding with; and SPIKE Lego Robots, which are robots that can be partially constructed out of Lego and then coded to complete certain tasks.
This term, the SAPG is trying to join Robocup Junior, which is a robotics competition for schools that includes participants up to the age of 19. The SAPG is specifically trying to enter the rescue category, which simulates a situation where someone in danger has to be rescued but is in a position that requires the assistance of robots. The SAPG has to navigate their robot across a black line with various obstacles and reach the person in need of rescuing – subbed out for a heavy tin-can.
The SAPG is a bustling atmosphere of learning and effort, with passionate members greatly focused on their tasks and eager to solve them in creative ways.
