Brought to you by Advisory 2 'FUNKY TOWN'
We in Advisory 2 would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, the Awabakal and Worimi peoples, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples reading TGIF today. This is, and always will be, Aboriginal land.

Who are you? I'm Will, and I'm the Advisor in Advisory 2.
What are your favourite hobbies? Well, the picture kind of says it (Thanks Vance). I like surfing, bike riding, and jiu jitsu. But I also really like reading (mostly Australian fiction), cooking, drawing, and laughing with my kids.
What are your goals in Advisory 2? The biggest one is that everyone feels comfortable, safe, and that they belong in Advisory 2.
How did you come to Cooks Hill? I'd worked in other Big Picture schools and Cooks Hill is the closest to where I lived. I came to work here casually, loved it, and ended up getting offered a position on the Learning Support Team.
Music is a window to the soul! We in Advisory 2 have a playlist made for focusing and chilling. We think that the songs in the playlist would serve as good insight into us as people.

SAPGs, or Social Action Project Groups, are a mandatory requirement at Cooks Hill Campus. The Bike SAPG recently visited JPS! Here is a rundown of the afternoon by Tom.
On Friday the week before last we went to the Junction Public School (JPS).
Our goal when we got there was to teach them key info to keep their bikes alive so that they keep riding and can pass on the knowledge to help their mates out in a pinch - that's the goal of our SAP G.
When we arrived we did a little ice-breaker and said hi to all the kids. After that we got straight to work doing basic maintenance on the JPS boys’ bikes. We were doing things like lubing chains, adjusting seat heights, tightening bolts, and doing safety checks. The whole time we were teaching them how to do it themselves and letting them take charge of the easier tasks. We talked about common problems that you can encounter when riding bikes, such as; how to repair punctures, maintain their bikes, and general knowledge so that they can fix them themselves if they need to.
The overall feeling at the end of the day was that we all had fun and the JPS boys thanked us for coming. We will try to organise another time in the future to visit and teach them how to change an inner tube and tires.

Ginger and Deanna interviewed the CHC staff that were at school on Friday to find out what sort of people they REALLY are. Here are the results!

Asha: You can adjust and adapt your presentation in many different ways, you don't need to present in the typical style. Make it work for you, that's what this school is all about!
Cameron: Practice your exhibition with someone beforehand.
De: Show everything.
Hamish: Practice.
Joe: Just do it!
Lucas: Run through your exhibition beforehand.
Reylen: Don't let your anxiety consume you, remember that everyone has to do this. You're not alone!
Sophie: Invite the amount of people that you're comfortable having there, don't feel pressured to invite too many!
Tom: Make checklists.
Vance: Don't use Google Slides.
