We have successfully continued our journey through distance learning, and it has been wonderful to see students staying engaged and trying their best. Even though online learning can sometimes be challenging, the students have shown great effort, resilience, and a positive attitude throughout the week. Thank you to all parents for your continuous support and encouragement at home. Your partnership makes a big difference in helping students stay motivated and connected to their learning.

Next week: we will learn how to keep our body systems healthy. Students will explore habits and practices that help their bodies stay strong and working well together.
Central idea: The human body consists of a network of interconnected systems.
Specified Concepts: Causation, Function and Connection,
Lines of inquiry:
How body systems work
The interconnectedness of body systems
Maintaining a healthy body
Learner Profile: Thinker and Balanced
This week, in Literacy, students conducted research on the digestive system, focusing on its functions and how it is connected to other body systems. They practiced using linking words to make their writing flow smoothly, and they learned how to include references and citations to show where they found their information. Throughout the week, students applied these skills in their writing, creating clear and well-structured pieces that demonstrated their understanding of the topic.
Next week: students will learn how to add features to their writing to make it more engaging and informative. They will also practice writing conclusions to effectively wrap up their work and summarize their ideas.
This week in Maths, students began learning about decimals up to two decimal places. They explored how to read, write, and compare decimals, and practiced using them in different real-life examples to strengthen their understanding.
Next week: students will continue their learning about decimals, focusing on hundredths, thousandths, and equivalent fractions. They will explore how fractions and decimals are related and practice using them in real-life examples to build a deeper understanding.
