Grade 4 Newsletter

I grew up in The Netherlands with my parents and sister, and I recently became an aunt—which I’m absolutely loving! I enjoy travelling, playing sports, and eating great food. I’ve been playing field hockey since I was six years old and now play for Dubai Hockey Club. I studied to become an international teacher in Meppel, The Netherlands, and had the chance to teach in Denmark, Kazakhstan, and The Netherlands during my training. After graduating, I taught early years in the Caribbean before moving to Dubai. At Dwight Dubai, I’ve developed a real passion for the IB, student agency, and inquiry-based learning. A big highlight for me was heading to Dwight London to help open the Little Lions Nursery as assistant manager. Watching students grow and celebrating their learning is the best part of teaching! This is my eigth year at Dwight Dubai, and I’m so excited for all the fun and adventures ahead in Grade 4!

Hailing from the city of Nawabs, Hyderabad, I am thrilled to begin my second year at Dwight School as a Grade 4 teacher. I bring over 10 years of teaching experience across IB schools in London, India, Singapore, and Austin, Texas. I hold a Master’s Degree in Teaching from the University of London, a Master’s in Arts from the Institute of Ismaili Studies (London), and a Master’s in Psychology from Osmania University, along with Bachelor’s Degrees in Education and Arts from Osmania University. As a dedicated IB educator, I have participated in numerous IB workshops, enabling me to create an inclusive and collaborative classroom that nurtures kindness, care, and a sense of belonging. Outside the classroom, I enjoy traveling, exploring diverse cuisines, and finding joy in music. I look forward to the journey of adventures and learning with Grade 4!

Hello, my name is Mr. Booker, and I am excited to continue my teaching journey at Dwight School Dubai. Originally from London, UK, I have over 12 years of teaching experience. I moved to Dubai in January 2022, where I began working in my first IB school. Since then, Dubai has become home, especially with the arrival of my daughter in March 2023. Beyond the classroom, I enjoy watersports, padel, golf, and football, and I take every opportunity to spend time outdoors.
