APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
The Career development course aims at giving the students that are about to graduate the necessary skills and knowledge to approach the professional world.
In particular, part of the course, in collaboration with the Career Services, will cover some aspects that relate to the professional practice (types of contract, intellectual property, CSR - corporate social responsibility). The organization in form of workshops and the meetings with professionals from different creative industries covered by the course, help the students develop awareness of the requested skills in the related creative areas. Moreover, the goal of this teaching is to provide the ability to create and present a portfolio and a project based on a creative brief. This course also aims at the development of a knowledgeable approach to design, that also considers ethical issues (sustainability, company relations, community development, as well as support to arts and culture).
The programme consists of one single module, which grants 6 credits.
Successful students will be able to:
Professionally approach a creative brief, conceiving a creative proposal that is efficient and consistent with the brief
Create a professional portfolio that is suited to the creative sector of reference
Value a presentation through the use of suitable technologies
Identify the kinds of enterprises within the scenario of the Italian and international creative industries
Identify the most suitable access path to the professional world, according with the individual aspirations
Apply all suitable norms in terms of safeguard of the author’s rights and use of copyrighted material
Select tenders, startup accelerators, funds or other tools that facilitate the access to the professional market, according to the personal needs
Enterprises: types and operation

This is a theoretical/project based course.
The students will take part in the following activities, which may vary depending on the development of different projects:

Individual or group study and research
Assessment tools may include:
Final reviews of the professional portfolio
