âźď¸ Stay up to date with the September 2025 Chapters Brief!
It's June. We're halfway through the year. By now, you should have...
Gotten through the year.
That's it.Â
You did it.
Proud of you! đ
Kidding, but not kidding! The state of the world can feel very heavy at the moment, and sometimes just getting by can feel like a win, ya know?Â
After spending time with so many of our community members, I am continuously reminded that we need each other.
Folks I have spoken with directly are navigating the global wars, local floods and fires, ICE raids in their workplace and personal illnesses.
Many people, including each of us, feel lonely, isolated, uncertain, and scared at times.
When you host a Culture First gathering, youâre doing more than coordinating logistics or booking a venue. Youâre creating space for genuine connection, belonging, and care. Thatâs powerful and that matters!Â
Let's keep being the change we want to see in the world! đ¤ đŤś

đ¤ People Geek Slack 101
In our last community engagement survey, you all mentioned that you would like more tips and tricks on how to build your local communities. So, we hosted a People Geek Slack 101 session to help you feel more confident navigating and leveraging our digital community of 45K+ membersâand wow, it was packed with practical tips, inspiration, and ways to deepen your local and global chapter connections.
A huge thank you to Acey Holmes for hosting the sessions and helping us demystify how to engage more meaningfully in Slack! đ
đ Hereâs what we covered:
What People Geek Slack (PGS) is: Itâs our digital community for HR leaders, people practitioners, and culture champions to connect, learn, and grow together. Think discussions on steroids. It is separate from our Culture First Slack workspace.Â
Easy Ways to Engage in People Geek Slack Right Now:Â
Promote your upcoming events in the #events channel
Drop photos from recent chapter events + wins in the #humble-brag channelÂ
Post reflections and takeaways in relevant topic channels (i.e. #employee-experience or #diversity-equity-inclusion)Â
Invite PGS members to your events (watch the attached Trova tutorial to find members in your area)
Encourage your chapter members to join PGS to keep the conversation goingÂ

đ¤ Collaborating with Other Communities? Read This First.Â
Itâs okay to co-host with another HR org (like Transform, DisruptHR, or ATD), but a few rules apply.
Only one official host + registration page (Bevy or theirs)
If a Culture First event, the partner can send out the link to register on Bevy to their members
If the partner's event, we can send out an email to your members with a link for register on their page.Â
No sharing attendee info
If a Culture First event, we will not be sharing attendee contact information or emails with the partner.Â
No pitching or selling
Honor 'connection inside, business outside.'
As a refresher, here is what that means - "In the context of a CF gathering, we ask people to connect first as humans and if that leads to folks doing business outside the gathering, that's cool. The primary purpose is for people to connect and learn. It's not for hard core sales or surface level networking. Yes, this community is supported by Culture Amp, but this rule also applies for Culture Amp. We ask that no one overtly push their services or ask people to sign up for a demo."
We must open with who we are + our principles at every Culture First gathering
Want to collaborate with a direct Culture Amp competitor like Lattice?Â
It's generally a 'no,' but please chat with Jessie first.Â
đĄ Newest Culture Amp Research
Our community is hosting a virtual 'book club' to discuss the latest report.Â
Want to share your perspective on the research and or lead a breakout session? Let Jessie know.
Event Title: The Science of Sustainable High Performance
Date: July 10 / July 11 APACÂ
**Highly encouraged to share this with your community members whether it's via email or at your upcoming events. Bonus if it's a session to discuss high performance.Â
đĽ Severance & The Future of Work: Recording and Round Two
If you missed our recent session on Severance, donât worryâwe recorded it!Â
Session Highlights:
"Is the show really as dystopian as some say, or do we see those themes in today's working world?"
"If youâve ever worked as the head of HR, you'd understand wanting to be severedâŚ.."
âThis show is the Dystopian Love Letter to Loneliness.â
"We are all slaves to the system of work."
"How can we make work something people donât need to escape from?"
Save the Date for Part Two - July 22nd!
đŁ Promote Other Chapter Events: We're Stronger TogetherÂ
I want to give a special shoutout to Christy Tonge, SF chapter lead, whoâs always fantastic at promoting other chapter events during their gatherings. Itâs a great habit for all of us to adopt! Just because someone is part of one chapter doesnât mean they shouldnât join other eventsâespecially topic-based ones like our new Global Trauma (Sarah Giencke + Natalia Bayurova), Mental Health and Neurodiversity at Work (Stephanie Loredo), and soon-to-launch Psychedelics at Work and Founders chapters. Make sure to check the calendar, and encourage your members to explore whatâs happening across the entire chapters community!
