About The Project
Combating Sexism (Taylor's Version) highlights the sexism Taylor Swift has faced during her career and how she's dealt with it. Throughout her career Taylor has faced harsh sexism and has dealt with it in various ways. In this project I emphasize how many of the criticisms of Taylor are rooted in sexism. I've created a 'take what you need' board to help inspire people who need a little motivation. It's filled with quotes from Taylor's interviews, songs, and documentaries to help people have a little light in their life if it's feeling dark.

My name is Wren, I'm a Junior at Lane Tech. I took this class because I wanted to have meaningful discussions with peers about women's work in literature. I've loved Taylor Swift for as long as I can remember so I've been thinking about this project since I signed up for Women in Lit. When I was younger I saw a switch of people's opinions on Taylor and have always been a little confused by it. So I was inspired to make this project.
