Ms. Courtney Feuer (she/her)

Teaching Women in Lit is my dream job! It explores my two favorite academic subjects, Women’s Studies and Literature. I first offered the Women in Lit class the 2006-07 school year, my fourth year at Lane. I felt that it was an important class to offer because there was a lack of representation of women writers in core English classes.

Women in Lit is a community that works together to explore the voices of women writers, which are voices that are deficient in the traditional literary canon. We also learn about issues affecting women around the world. Everything we read fuels our discussions. The most important aspect of Women in Lit is the value of student voices.

Fun Facts about Ms. Feuer: I listen to NPR incessantly. I am a mom to twins. I love the Indigo Girls and the Beatles. I love my pets: two cats and two dogs. Working out and karaoke are my stress management plans. The first discussion I ever had with my wife was about my favorite book, The Color Purple.
