Design, Code, Create, and Play allows students to acquire the skills, attitudes, and fluencies they need to be flexible in a changing world. In this student-driven unit, participants will learn how to use different design approaches to create games, code apps, or program something completely innovative and new.

This ASA is inspired by the passion and commitment of Callum, a junior student leader and athlete at CISH. Callum, who will be co-leading this ASA, is also an older brother to three siblings and envisions this ASA to provide a safe & nurturing environment where young Concordia boys can grow and thrive.

Battle of the Books

Join Battle of the Books! BOB is for grades 3-5 students. If you like books, quizzes and friendly competition then this is the ASA for you. Everyone is welcome. Participants will compete from a list of questions from a preselected list of books. Students will work in teams and will be expected to read at least 2-3 books each. The final battle will be held in March 2026 and will involve a field trip to BIS. This ASA requires participation in session 2 AND session 3.
Book Creator Club

Book Creator club empowers third-grade students to become authors and illustrators by creating their own digital books. Under the teacher's guidance, students will use the app's intuitive tools to write stories, add images, and even record their own voices, culminating in the publication of their very own book to share with classmates and family. This activity fosters creativity and digital literacy, transforming the writing process into an exciting and accessible adventure for young learners.

You'll also learn how to keep your kitchen clean after you cook. You can enjoy these delicious mug cakes while finishing your homework and also share them with your family as dessert after dinner!
