MakerSpace Mania

MakerSpace Mania is an after-school activity that encourages students to explore their creativity by building projects of their own interest. Students have the option to either create something new or improve their computer science skills. MakerSpace Mania is the perfect opportunity for students to explore their passions, learn new skills, and make new friends.

Vietnamese traditional games

Traditional Vietnamese games have played an important role in Vietnamese culture over time. These traditional games remain deeply attached to the ancestral tradition, to agriculture and the history of the country and reflect the social life and the daily life of the inhabitants. Joining Vietnamese traditional folk games in this ASA, you can experience and learn more about the traditions as well as the spiritual life of the Vietnamese.

Junior Zoology Club

In this asa class we will learn about particular animals or groups depending on the week. The class will class 45 minutes each week. There will be a discussion to showcase facts about the animals as well as photographs and short videos to showcase the animal. We will have open discussions as we learn about the anatomy, purpose of adaptions, behavior more.

Easy Sewing

My grandma taught me to sew when I was 6 years old, and I always helped her to put the thread into the needle. Sewing is not only a craft or life skill. It helps building your creativity and eager to learn new things. Let's join our ASA and make some scrunchies, bags, doll skirts together!

Danger Camp for Boys

This exciting ASA teaches children how to use knives and tools for artistic and practical purposes.  We will teach basic whittling, using a slingshot to hit a target, and using a hammer and screwdriver. Students will be able to bring home not only their creations, but also important life skills.

Battle of the Books-BOB

Join Battle of the Books! BOB is for grades 3-5 students. If you like books, games and friendly competition then this is the ASA for you. Everyone is welcome. Participants will compete from a list of questions from a controlled list of books. Students will work in teams and need to read at least 2-3 books each. The final battle will be held on Wednesday, March 12 and will involve a field trip to UNIS. This ASA requires participation in session 2 AND session 3.

Mindful Coloring

Through coloring, students can express themselves while improving concentration and fine motor skills in a calming environment. It's the perfect balance of fun and relaxation to end the school day!
