Thunder Academy is a new developmental sports program for grades 4 and 5. We will meet at the same time as After School Activities, but Thunder Academy will take place on both Tuesday and Thursday to offer more opportunities for skills development. because of this, students participating in this program are not able to participate in other session 1 activities.

Performing Ensemble

The Performing Ensemble will sing and play instruments at Christmas Time. Students will perform at the Christmas Concert in December. Students might also have an opportunity to perform outside the Concordia Community!

Coding with Micro:bits

This ASA is an opportunity for students to code with Micro:bits. Micro:bits are small computers that can be programmed to light up, create sound, send and receive radio waves, and more! Students will learn basic skills and pick a project based on their interests. 

Fun in Baking and Cooking

From measuring cups, mixing ingredients to creating your own recipes - Know the basic skills in cooking and baking as you prepare your own meal. Muffins, pasta, cookies, sandwich are some of the food that we are going to make. Don't forget to bring your own apron and get ready to enjoy our time in the kitchen! (This ASA is for students who weren't able to join the 1st session.)

Homework help and Reading Time

In this ASA, we will explore more of why we celebrate Christmas through reading the Bible and singing Christmas songs. If you like singing Christmas music, if you want to learn more about the Bible and/or if you like listening to stories while eating cookies, this ASA is for you!
