Celebrating Moments That Matter
Celebrating Moments That Matter
A lot of amazing things have happened this week! We had our special NJHS ceremony, congratulations to Jime and Zina for organizing such a beautiful and meaningful event. We will continue to support you by having conversations with students about behavior expectations, and you can count on us to help monitor and ensure that these events remain solemn and celebrated.
We also had a powerful learning experience with the documentary La vida de un río and guest speakers. Thank you, Dani and Sylvi, for designing such impactful activities that promote critical thinking and help students connect classroom learning with real-world contexts.
One great example of this is in 7th grade Science, where students are learning about atoms and molecules, some were even able to assemble complex carbohydrates! Let’s keep shining and creating special moments to celebrate together.
Need-to-Know Information
Male will be out of the office from Wednesday to Friday as she will be attending AMISA’s Leadership Conference as part of her responsibilities on the Professional Development Committee. Click on each link to learn more about AMISA and its professional learning opportunities.
Please contact Vale, who will be in charge during this time, if you need any support.
Community Time (CT)
We will use this time to practice for the Family Day parade. Please take attendance first and then walk with your students to the cafeteria soccer field (our evacuation safety zone) so we can follow instructions and prepare for this special event.
Conscious Discipline
Looking for more resources? We’ll be sharing some with you next week, but here’s some great news — José Terán, Maca Zaldumbide, and Estefy Martínez have compiled plenty of additional materials, and you can already find them on our Intranet.
Also, a special project is coming up in our Middle School office! Could you please share with us a photo with your family (size: 12 cm high x 8 cm wide) during next week?

We are hosting this special event, so please make sure to check the time of your shift and be ready to support that activity in any way needed. Remember that we are representing our school and serving as ambassadors of this amazing community. Let’s not only enjoy this special day, but also engage with our students, encourage everyone to participate, and offer support whenever we see someone who needs help. Additionally, please keep in mind that we are all responsible for safeguarding at all times, if you notice students or families in restricted areas, kindly redirect them to open and designated spaces.
Finally, please review Moni’s email for specific details and instructions.
Great news!
We now have five microwaves available in the cafeteria for everyone to use! This has made reheating meals much faster and easier for all. Please remind students that metal and certain plastic containers should not be used in the microwaves.
