REPORT CARDS WEEK
We'd like to thank in advance to our super TA's team for providing coverage. Thanks to your support, parent-teacher conferences are possible, and 4th and 5th will be able to meet together with parents from both classes. 🎉
DUTY COVERAGE:
TA's can cover the teachers' duties. Please find someone to cover TA's duties. If you have difficulty finding someone to do it, let Marga and Majo know so that we can find solutions quickly.
4TH & 5TH GRAD PLAYGROUND
Starting after carnaval break
As announced, starting on Week 23, 4th and 5th grade will no longer share playgrounds. This aims to reduce discipline incidnents, increase quality supervision and strengthen class relationships.
Changes include:
4th & 5th swap playgrounds for break. (schedule week 1 and week 2).
Biweekly "class days" led by Homeroom teachers at the basketball courts.
2 duty spots based on the corresponding playground.
Updated 4th grade socces schedule.
Full logistics found in the DUTIES document. There is a tab for 4th and a tab for 5th grade.
MAP FLUENCY TESTING
Starting after carnaval break
MAP Fluency will be moved after carnaval break, due to report cards. Schedule will be shared soon.
STUDENT TEACHER-SURVEYS
Student-surveys will take place on Feb 23rd to - Feb 27th.
A proctoring schedule will be shared with you soon.
General Logistics:
TAs, Admin, Support Team will be proctors
Core and Homeroom teachers can leave the classroom and have an extra prep block.
Devices will be brought to the classrom.
DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP CURRICULUM
As of February, we will start our digital citizenship curriculum!
This was launched with a great Digital Citizenship Assembly for 4th & 5th graders presented by Keith. 2nd and 3rd grade students will soon receive a short presentation by 5th graders, so they teach the younger ones how to be good digital citizens (more details coming soon)
Teacher leads will be in charge of integrating one lesson per month.
Let's lean on each other to equip our students with the right tools to navigate safely the online world and too leave a positive footprint as they do so!

You do not need to join, but FYI these meetings will be taking place with Room Parents, Moni and Marga
