Celebrating Moments That Matter
Celebrating Moments That Matter
Dear MS Team,
We truly appreciate all of our one-to-one conversations, each one reflects your commitment, support, and drive to achieve meaningful goals. It’s inspiring to see how purposefully you approach your work, and we’re excited to continue supporting you. Please remember that our doors (and inboxes) are always open whenever you need us.
As we head into the long weekend, here’s a small food for thought:
While we encourage the thoughtful use of AI as a tool for efficiency and creativity, it’s equally important to keep nurturing our own critical thinking. The real value lies not in what technology produces, but in how intentionally we use it, with clarity of purpose and understanding of what we want to achieve.
Here’s a short 2-minute video reminder on the importance of staying reflective and not becoming dependent on any single tool, no matter how powerful it is.
Have an amazing and restful long weekend!

AMISA's Assessment Symposium

We are especially excited that our very own Vale will be presenting alongside Cassie and Emi Castillo, a wonderful chance to support our MS AP and be part of an inspiring conversation about the future of assessment.

Information regarding:
Assessment Policy and Grading Categories in Canvas
Location: Eli's Lab
Friendly Reminder: Importing grades from Canvas to iSams
As we begin the first reporting cycle with both Canvas and iSAMS, we want to share what the process will look like. To make sure everything runs smoothly and reports are accurate, we’ll need a 5-day window between the time gradebooks close and the time reports are published.
Here’s the timeline for this cycle:
Friday, November 7 → Last day to enter grades in Canvas gradebooks. This means that this is the last day of Partial 1.
Monday, November 10 → Data validation begins
Friday, November 14 → Reports will be published
In future cycles, we expect the process to move faster. However, for this first implementation, it’s important to include contingency time to ensure accuracy and avoid errors.
