Dear Team,

Short week - celebration week - longed for week

I will not be here this week (Ceibo 8th grade), but I will be back on Friday to celebrate each and every one of YOU! Reach out to Vale while I am gone or text me if you miss me.

The last 2 weeks we have had a lot of meetings regarding disciplinary issues and concerns from parents. We have followed up every case with strong consequences to get our students to learn from their mistakes. Also, I hope you are more thatn clear that every meeting, we are upfront making sure to protect our teachers and to support your interventions so we can all keep doing our jobs peacefully.

I feel proud and honored to work along your side and knowing every night that our kids are safe and loved by you!

Remember:

With mobile phone alerts, social media updates, and 24/7 news cycles, it's hard to escape the daily flood of breaking news. But do kids really understand what they're seeing when stories first break? Help students analyze breaking news with a critical eye for false or incomplete information, and discuss the downsides of our "always-on" news media culture.
