Trip to All Out Adventures: 21 - 23 January
Excitement and chatter filled the air as Mr. Brown bid the Grade 6s farewell in the JP parking lot. That energy only grew during the bus ride, reaching a volume that made conversation at the front of the bus nearly impossible!
Upon arriving at All Out Adventures, we were greeted by our instructors and immediately split into groups to tackle a rotation of high-energy activities. The children took to the skies on the trapeze and bungee trampolines, found their rhythm in drum circles, and even tried their hand at juggling. The afternoon wrapped up with a high-stakes drum-off, where the winners were decided by the loudest cheers from their peers.
After a quick 15-minute drive to our overnight home at ATKV Drakensville, the action continued. We headed straight to the dam for a zipline over the water, followed by a spirited game of "shoe rugby." Our Clifton champions proved that true fun doesn't require fancy equipment; just a little bit of imagination.
Day two was all about adrenaline. The children soared through the canopy on a zipline tour and tested their nerves on the famous King-Swing. It was heartening to hear peels of applause and genuine encouragement drowning out the screams of excitement as, one by one, the children conquered their fears. The bus trip home was decidedly quieter.
Exhausted but smiling broadly, the Grade 6s returned with more than just memories. This trip proved that the real magic happens when you step outside your comfort zone and discover your true capabilities.
