Cliftones: Termly Reflection

The Cliftones Choir, made up of all our Grade 2 and Grade 3 children, has had a wonderful, fun start to the year. The children have been learning how to sing together as a group and how to perform with confidence. Their enthusiasm during rehearsals has been lovely to see.

The choir has worked hard at learning to sing in parts, with each group carefully singing their own part while listening to the other half of the choir. This has required great focus and teamwork. The children have also been practising how to sing both softly and loudly, helping to bring expression and life to their songs.

They performed beautifully at the JP Recital and made us all very proud. It was also a special treat to watch the Drakensberg Boys Choir perform for us. The children enjoyed seeing how a choir sings together while using facial expressions and movement to make the music even more engaging.

I am incredibly proud of each and every boy and girl in the choir. I look forward to continuing this musical journey with them for the rest of the year.
