Junior Primary Music Recital: 24 March

Harmonies in the Chapel: Junior Primary Music Recital

On Tuesday, March 24,  we hosted our Junior Primary Music Recital. It was a heartwarming afternoon dedicated to our Grade 1 to 3 performers, who stepped bravely into the spotlight to share what they had prepared.

The event offered a wonderful opportunity for parents to witness the progress of our youngest musicians, all of whom were expertly prepared by our dedicated private music staff.

The program showcased a variety of instruments, proving that musical talent at Clifton starts early. We enjoyed performances across Voice, Piano, Drumkit, Violin and Guitar.

The Cliftones Choir also took to the stage, "wowing" their mums and dads and performed with confidence and joy.

Beyond the individual items, the afternoon featured two standout moments that captured the spirit of our musical community:

In a charming interlude, Winston Duminy (Gr 3) interviewed our guest artist, Masedi Kaibe (Gr 7) who passed her Grade 4 ABRSM Violin exam with Distinction. Masedi then moved the audience with a beautiful performance, providing a wonderful example of musical growth for our younger children to aspire to.

Our music staff treated the audience to a stunning rendition of "Unsung Hero." The ensemble featured Luyanda Mazibuko on drumkit, Juliette de Reuck on cello, Donna Moor on piano and voice, and Fibiano Chapatha on electric guitar.

Congratulations to every child who performed. Your hard work in those practice rooms truly shone through! A huge thank you, too, to the Expressive Arts Team for putting the programme together.
