Man Playing Soccer
Acrylic paint on canvas, 102.5 x 82 cm
Last year in grade 10, I challenged myself to work on a splatter paint which I got inspired by the artist Jackson Pollock. He focuses on abstract expressionist movement. I got inspired by his artworks because I liked how the movement of the paints matches all the colors used in the big canvas. These made me want to create on a splatter paint again this year. I chose to add the form of a guy kicking a soccer ball. I chose to emphasize the specific shape, this is because I chose the theme of “myself”, which my first artwork will clearly show that I like to play soccer.
