My dad and I share a hobby and love for unique plants like succulents and cacti. Succulents represent endurance and timeless love as they store water in their leaves and stems. Knowing each of their properties, my dad also collects different kinds of crystals. Crystals symbolize purity and faith. Juxtaposed against each other in the first two pieces then later depicted in unison, expresses how personal aspects of enduring and loving can coexist with being pure and faithful as these are important values in my life.
