Guarded

Based on personal experiences during the time I was curating this piece, I wanted to express my inner emotions and feelings through my artwork. I've learned through mistakes I've made and encounters of being hurt by others in the past, to guard your heart, which is represented by the string of flowers constraining and tied around the human heart. Proverbs 4:23 expresses this message perfectly stating, “Above all, else guard your heart for everything you do flows from it,” which acted as inspiration for this piece as well.
