Untitled

Acrylic on Wood, 24 x 18 inches

Inspired by the chaotic strokes and pieces of Basquiat, this piece similarly aims to challenge the idea of conventionally aesthetic art. Similar to Basquiat’s 1981 and 82’ pieces, Untitled, the use of harsh lines, and bright eccentric colors, creates a sense of chaos, but freedom within the artwork. The piece is supposed to represent an artist’s true artistic process, from the preliminary sketches to the final product. It reflects upon the boundaries of art and tunes in innate human curiosity.
