Patience

Patience is a work of digital photography that captures a girl wrapped in sacks. This piece was inspired by Filipino artist BenCab and his reoccurring subject Sabel. I wanted to express the same restriction and oppression experienced by those living in poverty and even women, which BenCab illustrates through Sabel. Patience is constraining because it may force you to restrict yourself from what you truly desire, hence the sacks wrapped around the subject and her stoic expression.
