Unpretentious

Inspired by “Humans of New York” and my senior year, I intend to portray the unseen raw hardship that made these people who they are. Each person sat in front of a camera and talked about a time that sparked who they are. The ‘floating mask’ symbolizes how they are still connected to their past, but made them resilient to their past challenges. The background is their ‘personal sanctuary’ that allows them to reflect on the good and bad in their life.
