Repetition and Patience

Hair reveals identity and change.

Every other year since 9th grade, I would grow my hair and send it to an organization which makes wigs for cancer patients. Making this artwork required repetition, concentration, and patience. This process was identical to how I take care of my hair and what my hair is like. Despite some strands being damaged, I try to take care of my hair the best way that I can. When completed, this brought me joy. Knowing a part of me helped someone makes me feel fortunate.
