The Music course is for students currently studying, or intending to commence study of, an instrument or voice. The course focuses on music history, skills, composition, and high-level solo and group performance. Students should participate actively in the College’s extra-curricular music program including ensembles, masses, concerts, musicals, excursions and the Catholic Performing Arts Festival. The course is highly recommended for students already undertaking musical tuition and should be considered a pre-requisite for upper-school music courses.
This course will also cater for all students that have not had previous participation in music courses or tuition on an instrument, although both will be an advantage.
