During the week of October 13th, Kelly's No Place for Hate Committee worked with Kelly Staff to introduce the No Place for Hate Pledge. Our NPFH committee filmed a video reading the pledge. This was shown in each classroom. Then, teachers invited students to sign the pledge. The banner is displayed in each classroom.
For their first No Place for Hate Activity on October 22nd, 2025, Kelly participated in Unity Day. To kick off the event, the NPFH committee shared a video encouraging students and staff to wear orange to show unity against bullying and hate. Students were encouraged to write or draw what they could do to make Kelly a safer and more welcoming place for all on orange strips. The strips were made into chains and hung on campus to showcase a welcoming environment for everyone and the role everyone plays in building a positive climate on campus. We also hosted the Carlsbad Champions during lunch to help spread this message of unity and inclusion.
We believe that a thriving school environment starts with listening. The NPFH Committee is excited to present Activity 2: Student Interviews, a student-led project created to turn survey insights into action. By conducting direct interviews, our committee members are working hard to understand how we can make the Kelly School experience even more supportive and engaging. It’s all part of our mission to ensure our students aren't just heard, but are active partners in our school’s growth.
