CHE organized their student pledge during an assembly on January 12th.
For their 1st activity, CHE held their Compassion Day on 1/24/24.
On April 18th, CHE's No Place for Hate team shared a lesson about the power of our words and actions. Words have the power to both help and harm. We want to be a school community where our words and actions improve the culture and climate of our school and make CHE a safe and happy place to be. 4th and 5th grade leaders shared this lesson in all 2nd and 3rd grade classes. The NPFH team also set up an activity booth at recess for students to color bully prevention bookmarks, write a commitment to stand up against bullying and learn kind phrases in another language.
Let's Work it Out!
The NPFH Student Leadership Team collaborated with our school counselor to present classroom lessons around conflict resolution. Students read stories about working out a problem with a friend and put on a skit role-playing what these problem-solving conversations might look like. While students worked on a take-home foldable, the NPFH team went to small groups of students to check for understanding and had them practice with them what they learned.
